This Is Us

How can we help you...?

Our friendly team of staff are all trained in mental health and have a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are all very passionate about serving our community with love and support as well as good food!

The cafe is a safe place to drop in for a chat if you are struggling, feeling lonely or need some support.

If you could benefit from some 1-1 coaching sessions you can book in with Amy on a Tuesday. These sessions are 1 hr and by donation. These can be used for any issue that you are struggling with such as stress, depression, addiction, relationships etc.

We offer food vouchers and have a pay it forward scheme - If you cannot afford a meal, we will be able to help you. Please drop in or obtain our food vouchers from the food bank, GP surgery or churches.

There is so much support in Okehampton, we work very closely with the community so if we can't help you we will know someone who can.

We offer courses to help improve well-being including anxiety management, happiness, mindfulness and more to come.

Testimonials.........

‘The Well-being Café isn’t just a café for me. It is a safe place. The staff don’t do regular support work, every single one of them has helped me with every single issue I have had. I know that it is not just a job for them, they truly care and I see that in every single member of staff here. They’ve made calls they didn’t have to and stayed late just to make sure I was ok. I have been to so many support networks and charities but none like this. I will be forever grateful."

"The Well-being Café means everything to me. I always feel safe here"

"This Well-being Café is an amazing escape for me. There have been many a time I have been so hungry and if not for this café, would have gone days without eating. I have had a lot of problems but the staff never judge. Thank-you guys for all you do."

"The Well-being Café is a god send. I admire their ability to tolerate and accept every customer. I come here to reconnect with my authentic self."

"I have been street homeless for the past 6 months. During this time The Well-being Café have been unconditionally supportive. This drop in has relentlessly fed me lovely homemade soup. It has also been a place of peace where I can connect with like minded people. Should this café fail to exist I think it would leave an endemic void in the hearts and minds of local people."
